Amazing time with Amazing people! Lorcan Medical College, collaborating with students( EMSA Lorcan), launched an event that encompassed high school and freshman students. Lorcan Medical College's priorities and committed to serving the community and that is why this program takes place. It helps advocate the basic foundation of medical education so that students will be aware of why and what to learn in medical school. It had the motto of “ Unlocking the Path to Medical School ” The event started with a speech by Mr. Henok, our provost, about the event, the school, and what the medical field looks like. Proceeding with this, there was a presentation by a senior student that highlighted the requirements and stages of medical education. Continuing this there were two-panel discussions that consisted of very well-known doctors and lecturers, and senior students from another school. In the middle of the panel discussion, there were two presentations by Dr. Sofonias Ermias and Dr. Tseganesh Mekong( from Yetenaweg ). The event was wrapped up by the EMSA Lorcan President and Executive Board Member. In addition to the on-stage programs, there were different off-stage activities. Among those, visiting the beautiful campus, donating blood, games with Chewata Awaki, snakes and soft drinks, and many more were parts of the activities. In addition, many organizations conduct different services. Some organizations that run their organization are Ethiopia Red Cross Society, Care Epilepsy Ethiopia, Babi Speciality Dental Clinic, and Blue Health Ethiopia among many others. We are very thrilled to have this amazing program with amazing people. Different issues were addressed and we believed that attendees got tremendous knowledge and experience from senior physicians. We hope that this event creates and paves the pathway for future healthy professionals and are aware of some basic understanding of the medical field. We are grateful to everyone for their collab, especially the Ethiopian Red Cross Society.
